When the NRM Board was first created it created an Initial Plan to ensure it could keep on with day to day business of managing natural resources while a more integrated approach was adopted through the Regional NRM Plan.
The Initial NRM Plan brings together the plans and programs of former organizations (catchment water management boards, animal and pest plant control boards and the integrated natural resources management group). These plans can be downloaded via the following links:
Initial NRM Plan Review
Each year the regional NRM Plan is reviewed to amend the Eyre Peninsula Natural Resources Management Board's business plan for the coming 3 financial years. Amendments may be required, and if so, these amendments are published in Eyre Peninsula region's newspapers with an invitation for members of public to provide comment by written submission. These comments are then forwarded to the responsible Minister of the Natural Resources Management Act 2004 for adoption or amendment.
The Eyre Peninsula Natural Resources Management Board (the Board) recently called for submissions on proposed amendments to natural resources management plan for the Eyre Peninsula Natural Resources Management region 2008-09. Copies of the proposed amendments and additional information are available from the Board by contacting the Executive Assistant, Tamara Clark on (08) 8682 7507, by email tamara.clark@epnrm.com.au or via these links:
