The Natural Resources Management (NRM) levy is collected by councils as reimbursement for the annual contributions that they are required to make to the Eyre Peninsula Natural Resources Management Board.
The NRM levy is a new name for contributions ratepayers have been making for many years. Previously these payments were called the Catchment Water Management Levy and animal and plant control contributions – and were also made through local government.
The NRM Levy is now itemised on rates notices as the "NRM" or "Natural Resources Management" Levy - so now we can all see what we are contributing towards important natural resource management programs.
Each year the Eyre Peninsula NRM Board reviews its regional plan and funding arrangements. For more information on the NRM Plan Review, please go to the Our Plan page.
